This cache is part of the Nevada Rescue Series, even though the cache is physically in Arizona. The Moose got stuck trying to turn around in a very narrow wash/ravine after he encountered the trail being blocked by a portion of the ravine wall that had collapsed following recent rains. Fortunately, he was able to climb out of the ravine yo get cell phone coverage and called Skyhawker & Cloudcraft respectively for a rescue. Both responded, but I got there first. We were able to dig away some of the blocking material and I was able to Winch him around. This gives me rescue credit, so I got to place the cache.
This is the desert, but this area can be subject to FLASH FLOODS. Don't attempt it if is/has been or is about to be raining. Take food and water. There is no cell service in the ravine, but there is above it and for most of the way up Beaver Dam Wash. You need 4x4 to access the ravine. The terrain difficulty is based upon the remoteness of the cache and the ravine.
The cache is an AMMO CAN, placed about 200 yards back up the ravine near a spot where vehicles can turn around.
