The cache:
You will need to go for a short hike up the hill via the Old Coach Track to retrieve this cache. There is also a brilliant view from the top. You are looking for a small white film canister with a logbook and pencil. The lid can be opened with out the whole container being removed to prevent it from getting damaged. Facts about the area:
Kangaroo Grass
Kangaroo grass is a plant that you have almost certainly seen before and grows along the sides of the trail you will have to walk along to get this cache. It was errornously named by white people first settling into Australia and is not eaten by kangaroos who prefer shorter, finer grass. The seeds have been ground up by indigenous Australians to make a flour for making bread for thousands of years. The oldest archaeological remains of grinding stones used to make the flour date back to more than 30,000 years ago and were found in Cuddie Springs NSW, and the Darling River. It has also been used in West Africa to treat cramps and pelvic pain. (Sources: ps.org.au, SA History Articles, Wikipedia)
