Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 470,000 people have volunteered at 24,000 CITO events in 124 countries.
At CITO events, geocachers and community groups work together to improve parks and other outdoor environments. They clean up litter, plant trees, remove invasive species, build trails, and more.
By attending the event you should also be entitled to a souvenir.
What can we do locally?
Let's get in and around the scene of some recent caches, Wiseman Park in Gwynneville, to see if we can make a difference.
What to bring:
Sturdy shoes and sensible clothing. If you have them bring your gloves but there will be bags and some gloves provided.
We will also need to take COVID safe precautions.
