Geocache Description:

One of the sweethearts likes to go to a Remembrance day service and/or parade every year.  The past couple years has been a little more difficult because of the pandemic. I figured one nice thing I can do, to make me feel a little better about missing the "normal" kind of service, would be to find a cache or two...Thats when I noticed -there isnt all that many around. Here is one, incase anyone would like to save it for a November 11 day cache! Also, this one is named the way it is because well...one of the sweethearts is an American, and still has an American poppy she wears. For the puzzle, focus on the poem.

"Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans, who are people who have served in the United States Armed Forces"

In Flanders Fields

BY JOHN MCCRAE

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,(+1)
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.(+5)

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow (+1)
In Flanders fields.(+2)
