My Scouts BSA Troop 88 was biking the trail from Columbia to Bainbridge and back. I was the support crew with water and stopped here to wait for the troop. I didn't know the spot was open for caches. A few days later, I added Let's Bike - GC77EFQ on one sign.. But it had bees. So I moved it to another sign about the Wildflower Meadow.
But now the area has been landscaped, and that sign was removed along with the geocache container. Sigh. I'm pleased that the nearby road that had been horrid has been paved although the "Rough Road" sign remains. Interpretive signs have been added along the smoothly paved trail. It could be part of a nice Adventure Lab (hint, hint). Maybe take people to the bridge over Chiques Creek. Maybe the foot of Chiques Rock. I note that the Musselman-Vesta Furnace at the west end of the meadow is part of DanTheMan's Tour of Marietta Adventure Lab.
The area is worth a revisit especially if biking.
This hide is closer to the Let's Bike original. If someone leaves it uncovered, it will be very visible. Maybe muggles won't notice, but please cover it with a stick. Enjoy your visit.
Congratulations to Kasey124 on the First-To-Find.
