Geocache Description:

This cemetary is listed as Beaver Valley in the Minnesota Cemetary listings, but the locals all know it as Beaver Creek Cemetary.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained site.   Due to traffic and possible muggling, the cache is hidden in an inconspicuous location.  No need to climb any fences.   Please show respect as you wander the grounds and admire the stones of those laid to rest and the Veterans memorial.

Take a look at the gravesite surrounded by rod iron fencing of Colonel Harrison White - the founder of Beaver Creek.    He is a distinguished solder of the Civil War, a pioneer of Rock County, the founder of Beaver Creek Village, a member of the Minnesota legislature in 1906-07 and again in 1911-12.  He is past commander of the Grand Army of the Republic.  President Abraham Lincoln conferred his commission to Lt. Col. and Colonel in 1877 - the year Beaver Creek was platted.    His story is an interesting one and available thru google search.

Another interesting site is located to the right of the hide.   This was once a place of necessity, but a few years ago the wind destroyed everything but what remains.   A cache was recently hidden titled "#1 or #2" but had been muggled before published.

Enjoy this beautiful cemetary.
