🎄 'A Christmas Story' Cache Series Kickoff Event Event Cache

What better way to launch a 10-Cache Christmas Series then at the end of a Christmas Party. This fun-filled 45 minutes will be jampacked with:

🎄 Christmas Cookie delights to fill your tummy - Bring your own hot beverage if you need one.

🎄 Stocking Stuffer Gift Exchange - (participation is optional) If you want to be part of the fun then bring a WRAPPED gift, in the $1-$3 range, that can fit inside of a Christmas stocking. Anything family-friendly is welcome. The more fun, the better. The stocking-stuffer gifts will be collected then redistributed to all who contributed a gift. So in a nutshell, if you bring a stocking stuffer gift, you will go home with a gift as well. Everyone who comes may participate in the gift exchange whether you are a geocacher or not.

🎄 Holiday Giveaways - Of course there will be a gift raffle.

🎄 Character Dress up - We triple dog dare attendees to come dressed as either a character or prop from the A Christmas Story movie. Anyone who does so will be entered into a drawing for a SPECIAL PRIZE.

🎄 10 New A Christmas Story Themed Geocaches - Shortly after the event ends the 'A Christmas Story' Cache Series will launch. Through each cache find, relive this whimsical Christmas classic movie with Ralphie Parker, his family, and his friends as Ralphie tries to convince his mother to get him a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas.

Each cache page is filled with fun facts and clips from the movie in addition to information about the cache find. There are only 2 micro containers in this series so don't forget your SWAG.

So now that you know about the fun, mark your calander and break out your warmest pair of long johns because this event will take place outdoors. 

Note: If the weather has cooperated in a winter sort of way prior to this event Como Lake Park has an outdoor ice skating rink and a sledding hill.
