Geocache Description:

Stumers Creek trail is a 2.5km track along the creek in Coolum which can be started at the Coolum sports complex end, off David Low Way or the Coolum State School end on School Rd, off Yandina-Coolum Rd, or if you live in Coolum and don't need to park, walk along Park Cr to where the trail starts near the intersection with Acacia Ave, and cross the creek over the bridge to meet the main track. It is a flat trail along the the creek suitable for all fitness levels, primarily used for walking, running and mountain biking. There is a lot of wildlife that can be potentially spotted along this walk at the edge of suburbia.

This location is 0.6km from the northern end or 1.9km from the southern end of the trail.

We decided on the name of this cache as near this spot, we were admiring the peaceful creek and suddenly heard fast thundering steps coming toward us along the track. A lady passed, frantically running as if being chased by something. My daughter said: "Where's the Bear?" and we thought it was so funny that the cache name was born.

The cache is a small container with a yellow lid. Look for the termite mound.
