Daniel Boone has extensive history here in Missouri and spent most of his last two decades in the state. Local lore has it that Daniel Boone's great-grandson built a cabin nearby, thus the name of the small neighborhood here. This cache is placed on private property with permission. The main road is very busy, especially in the summer as it is a direct route to Smithville Lake. Please do not try to pull over on the main road, there is room to park on the shoulder on side street. As always be aware of stickers, snakes, spiders and poison ivy.
