Another milestone beside the old London to Bath coach road.
We found this milestone while doing the nearby Roundway Down series. We placed this cache with the aid of two of our geocaching granddaughters, JustMabel and JustWinnie.
It was JustWinnie who found the hiding place. The hint was composed by JustMabel and JustWinnie.
This cache could be done as a one-off, or while doing The Wombles' Roundway Down series. The final is a short walk off the Roundway Down series route.
For those who like local history, there is another milestone a mile away on the Roundway Down route with another of our caches: CH68: How Far?.
Because of the proximity of two of the Roundway Down caches, we were unable to place anything at the actual milestone and all the mileages have long since eroded away, so we couldn't use them to calculate the final coordinates.
To find the physical cache:
Estimate the height of the milestone in feet and call it A.
A = 1 or 3 or 6.
Estimate the distance of the milestone from the edge of the track in feet and call it B.
B = 2 or 6 or 10.
