Welcome to Koreshan Historic State Park geocaching series.
These geocaches are set up for you to learn a little about this history and get a smiley too! Each cache will give you some history about a former resident or information about one of the historic buildings. There is an admission to enter the park. Check park hours because they change but campers can access these geocaches anytime.
Cyrus Teed, who renamed himself Koresh, believed the Angel of God told him men and women are equal so he decided to put women in the leading positions. He chose 7 because there were 7 known planets at that time, around 1890. Come learn about these women! They lived in a lovely home with separate bedrooms and the rest of the men and women lived in dorms!
