Please join us for a late winter trail mix among the cedars in Scott County. There will be plenty of fun for those of you cachers who like to hunt caches in the wilderness. We will be a little over 120Â new hides for you to seek in the area :) We are dedicating this trail mix to City Slicker, who sadly passed away recently. We all will miss Cliff's witty humor and smile. There will be a card/log that will be dedicated to Cliff so you can post your memories of Cliff and we will give the card to Cliff's family.
There is a paved road that runs over 1/2 mile to the trailheads. There are several mountain bike trails out here. Bicycles are welcome, but no motorized vehicles are allowed. Dogs are welcome, but please have them leashed as there are plenty of deer in this area and bicyclists are out on the trails. If the bike trails are muddy, please stay off and hike to the side of the trail.Â
Let's meet in the parking lot at 8:30 a.m. We'll have a few giveaways, as well as some fresh baked breakfast items. We will have hot coffee and hot water for tea and cocoa, but please bring your own beverages, as well as lunch if you are planning on spending the day on the trails. Let's take a group photo and those that wish to join us can head out on the trails for a fun day of hiking (hiking is optional). Those who attend the event do not have to hike.
