Geocache Description:


Located in North Cape Girardeau, the White Oak Trace trail is part of the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center’s grounds located within North County Park. The trace features two miles of nature trails over the rolling hills typical near the Mississippi River. Terrain on the portion of the trail used for this cache meet ADA standards, the paths are smooth asphalt with bridges and decking. This portion is approximately a ½ mile trip.

This cache is ideal for families with young children. As you search for this cache don’t forget to read our seasonal storyboard. A new story is placed on the trail approximately 6 times a year. Also keep an eye out for wildflowers, mushrooms, and wildlife!

While you're here, stop by the Nature Center to learn more about Southeast Missouri. The center is open Tuesday-Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM except state holidays. You may call 573-290-5218 to inquire about hours and trail conditions. For more information and maps, visit their website. The park is open from 6:30 AM to 10 PM.

You will not need to step off the trail to find the hidden cache.
