Geocache Description:

Huntington Beach State Park is our favorite park. The views of scenery and wildlife are simply amazing. The Sandpiper Trail is a 2 mile hike through a coastal forest, along the edge of a saltwater pond, over salt marsh, and ending near the beach. Various wildlife can be seen throughout this hike. From Egrets, Blue Herons, Sandpipers and other birds to alligators, deer, rabits, and musk rats. That's what makes this hike a great one. This cache is near the end of the trail. On the way to this last cache we placed, you will pass by, and through, a section of Live Oaks that entwine themselves with the trail. This is probably my favorite spot on the trail and it makes for great photos. Just a little further is the side trail to GZ. Look at the trees from the trail and you will see where the cache name came from. Please rehide the cache as found, replace camouflage.

Be sure to check out the rest of this beautiful park. There is so much to see and do here.

An unactivated travel bug is in the cache as a prize for the FTF!

Congrats to KU Jayhawk for the FTF!
