Geocache Description:

This cache replaces the original "Taking Nerys to Water", set by my great friend D-boi.

The cache was named after the wonderful Nerys Hughes (of Liver Birds fame) and also after his imaginary horse, Nerys.

The cache is a medium clip lock box and it is contained in a camouflage bag.

Apart from caching, there are lots of things to do around here. There is an abundance of wildlife, especially of the feathered variety and it's a good idea to bring a pair of binoculars. In spring and summer, there is also a mass of wild flowers and of course lots of interesting flotsam and jetsam. A few years ago there was a mass stranding of Cuttlefish amounting to tens of thousands. It was like walking through piles of very smelly Cornish Pasties!

If you wanted to, you could catch the ferry across to Itchenor for refreshments and a look around (timetable before the jetty) or continue walking onto Bosham.

One word of warning. The footpath can be flooded on high spring tides.

When placed, the cache contained all sorts of good and very high end stuff. Please try and avoid leaving tat and please try and put a few words in the log book other than the awful "TFTC" or even worse, some silly emoji. I've been checking on and looking after this cache in its original guise for years and I regularly check the log book. If your name isn't in it, I will remove the log you posted on here. This is a "No Armchair Caching Zone"!
