Geocache Description:

We Shell Leavers want to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year and especailly to the Euclid Lunch Time Cachers and the streaking SkaraBrea Team, one of which might score an FTF.  There ia a ELTC geocoin in the cache for the FTF, or maybe the second to find.

We had talked to team SkaraBrae a couple of times at events last year and found them to be delightfully enthushiastic Geocachers.  They mentioned they were going for the 366 streak and when I hid this cache they had just passed 270 days in a row.  Good luck to them and we hope this helps.

The site of this cache features a dramatic view of a shale cliff and a bronze plaque describing the history of the park.  Not many muggles today but could be many in warmer months.

Euclid Creek Park is another Gem in the Metro Parks emerald necklace. It features wooded hillsides where the rare rock chestnut oak grows. The reservation is located in Euclid, South Euclid and Richmond Heights. The southern portion of the reservation is the site of a "ghost town." The village of Bluestone flourished in the late 1800s and early 1900s when its populace quarried the blue-gray siltstone for use in building sidewalks and other construction.

The cache is hidden under some local sandstone.
