Capitale de la Thudinie, Thuin est une commune semi-rurale située dans la province du Hainaut. Elle a plusieurs qualificatifs: Une cité médiévale, son beffroi et des postys juchés sur l’éperon rocheux. Une ville basse batelière au charme typique en bord de Sambre. Vous serez charmés par les ruelles pavées et troublés par l’art actuel qui imprègne la cité.
Sur le versant ensoleillé, des jardins en terrasses se sont développés au rythme de la construction des remparts et offrent au promeneur un parcours varié, ponctué de panneaux d'interprétation.
Coté nord, c’est une rivière canalisée qui surprendra par les méandres verdoyants, les écluses manuelles, les péniches, le quartier des bateliers et le RAVeL.
Les caches sont placées par-ci par-là, au tour de la cité. Vous aurez la possibilité de rejoindre d'autres circuits de la région, bien fournis en petites boites dissimulées et serez amenés à explorer et à (re)découvrir les merveilles de cette ville au confluent de la Sambre et la Biesmelle.

The capital of Thudinie, Thuin, is a semi-rural commune in the province of Hainaut. It has several characteristics: A medieval city, its belfry and postys perched on the rocky outcrop. It is a low town with typical charm on the banks of the Sambre. You will be charmed by the cobbled streets and disturbed by the contemporary art that permeates the city.
On the sunny side, terraced gardens have developed in line with the construction of the ramparts and offer the walker a varied itinerary, punctuated by interpretation panels.
On the northern side, the river is channelled and will surprise you with its green meanders, manual locks, barges, the boatmen's quarter and the RAVeL.
Caches are placed here and there around the city. You will have the possibility to join other circuits of the region, well supplied with small hidden boxes and will be led to explore and to (re)discover the wonders of this city at the confluence of the Sambre and the Biesmelle.

De hoofdstad van Thudinie, Thuin, en is een half-landelijke gemeente in de provincie Henegouwen. Het heeft verschillende kenmerken: een middeleeuwse stad, zijn belfort en postys op de rotspunt. Het is een lage stad met een typische charme aan de oevers van de Samber. U zult gecharmeerd zijn door de geplaveide straten en verstoord door de hedendaagse kunst die de stad doordringt.
Aan de zonnige kant hebben zich terrastuinen ontwikkeld die gelijke tred hielden met de aanleg van de vestingmuren en die de wandelaar een gevarieerde route bieden, onderbroken door interpretatiepanelen.
Aan de noordkant is de rivier gekanaliseerd en zal u verrassen met zijn groene meanders, handmatige sluizen, aken, het schipperskwartier en de RAVeL.
Her en der in de stad zijn geocaches geplaatst. U kunt zich aansluiten bij andere circuits in de regio, goed voorzien van kleine verborgen doosjes, en u zult geleid worden om de wonderen van deze stad aan de samenvloeiing van de Samber en de Biesmelle te verkennen en te (her)ontdekken.
