Hang him high!
On the high point near here called Galley Hill, Joe Badcock was hanged and gibbetted for murdering his sweetheart. The gallows/gibbet was in line of sight from the front door of the victim’s parents so they could see the “fowls of the air fly away with pieces of flesh picked from his body”.
