Welcome to “Through Her Eyes”
This is a challenging cache that is worth the trip! You are looking for a .50 caliber ammo can. If you make it to the location, the hide should be easy to find. If you use one of the two bottom parking lots, prepare for a lot of elevation gain. The lot located on Lilly Road offers much easier hiking, but with a lot of Mountain Laurel so prepare to do some serious bush-whacking. While in the area, make sure you check out the other caches that are available.
This is located on Pennsylvania State Game Lands. Please know the laws, and wear orange when required. Please respect the hunters, especially during rifle deer season, as the Game Commission is very good about us using Game Lands for Geocaching.
History
In November of 2009, I chose a Brittany puppy to be my new companion. Over the years, we traveled to many amazing locations. On December 21, 2015, we hiked to the peak of this mountain with Eaglezilla. I took a photograph and used the title “I wish I could see the world through her eyes.”
Yesterday, January 12, 2022, Zoe lost her battle to cancer. She accompanied Myself and Littl3doll on so many amazing adventures. She meant the world to me, and I miss her dearly.
Today we needed an escape and dry eyes, so we took litt3doll’s dog Minx to see this very special spot. We achieved one of those goals. It was here, we decided to place a cache in honor of Ms Zoe.
The picture is one of many that mean so much to me now. Inside this cache you will find dog related things and that picture. Please enjoy the hike and the view! If you have an adventure dog please bring them and let them choose something to take home. Dogs do not need to exchange anything inside the cache, they are welcome to it. If the cache ever runs low, please ask for maintenance and I will gladly restock.
