VILLAGE OF WAUKESHA TOWN HALL
The Village of Waukesha has been in existence since 1842 with the original Town Hall located in what is now downtown in the city of Waukesha. For decades the city of Waukesha and the town of Waukesha were linked together but separate. However, on May 12, 2020, the former town of Waukesha successfully incorporated as a village following a referendum where residents voted 9-to-1 in favor of incorporation. Unlike a township, a village cannot be annexed by a neighboring city. The mission and goal of the Village of Waukesha is to provide a semi-rural living environment for the residents and provide necessary services while maintaining a low and affordable tax rate.
WAUKESHA VILLAGE FIRE STATION
The Village of Waukesha Fire Department proudly serves the community as fire service professionals dedicated to the preservation of life and prevention, detection, and suppression of fire for the general welfare of the people of the Village of Waukesha. The Fire Department provides rescue services with a full-time Fire Chief, a Firefighter/EMT/Fire Inspector and 40 paid-on-call personnel.
