On my first full day of retirement, a cache published at this location called: Bump on the Trail So, I combined some local errands with the FTF opportunity and was rewarded with the blank new log. That was my first FTF in Georgia. A little more than a year later, the cache was archived due to CO inaction after a "Needs Maintenance" log. I have notifications set up for archive logs and saw that this one was archived. I went out there and the cache was still there and decided I would rescue it and possibly hide one there myself.
I won a new cache container in one of the Georgia Geocachers Association (GGA) contests and decided to use it here. It is large enough for small trackables and small swag. There is a coffee house gift card for the FTF cacher.
I added a parking waypoint that will get you pretty close to the cache. Across the road from there, there is a connector trail going up the short incline towards an unimproved trail and later to the paved trail. The cache is just up the incline and to the right, where the trail levels out.
You will be entering the wood line here, so dress appropriately.
I added a reference point for the entrance to Flat Rock Park if you're not familiar with the area.
