Geocache Description:

August Calendar Challenge Cache

The Peace River Valley in August

The cache is at the posted coordinates but follow the directions to log a ‘Found it!’  Bring your own writing implement.

Challenge caches are not very common in this area, in fact, I believe this is the first one in the Fort St John area.  They are designed to push cachers to complete certain geocaching goals.

In other areas you will find challenges of all sorts related to cache geography, cache sizes, date hidden etc. Calendar caches like this one push you to cache within a specific month. Check out ‘Jasmer challenge’ for one of the most renowned types of challenges.

You must complete the requirements of the cache before you can log a ‘Found it’ but you can sign the physical log prior to completing the challenge. Just sign the log and post a note on the cache page.  When you have completed the challenge return to the page and log the find. So if you are passing through Fort St John feel free to stop!

The challenge: you must find a cache a day for each day in August. Prior finds count and any type of cache counts. They also do not need to be in the Peace region. I know some of you will already have this completed, but for those that haven't, this will help you fill your calendar grid. Have fun geocaching in the lazy, hazy days of summer in the Peace!

Congratulations to EchelonKS and ScouterWooby who came from PG to get the FTF!
