Geocache Description:

19 February 2022, 09:00 - 09:30

Each February, we take a trip down to the shore.  Sometimes it's just the family and sometimes it's with some friends.  We usually do a hike and eat pizza and watch movies.  It was always a good weekend.

Until back in 2019, when we decided to take our hike for the weekend .  My old roommate accidently found a geocache.  So we downloaded the app and found like eight of them that weekend.  It was fun and a little weird.  Who puts something in a guardrail? Why is this little pill carrier in a tree? Then, like a smart person, I didn't really think about it again for a month.  But that didn't last.

Fast forward three years. My waders I bought for taking pictures of flowers only have been used to find caches. I once spent like six or seven hours trying to learn a WWII decryption system just so I could go through thorns and poison ivy to find a plastic box. Once, I made my wife go on a website to take a blurry screenshot of me on top of Mount Washington via a webcam.  I went to Ohio... on purpose.

To "celebrate", I'll be hanging out on what will probably be an ice cold morning in February where I'll be completely exposed to the wind (thankfully, there's a pavillion in case it rains).  Really, no one else should purposely be out there on a February morning (I shouldn't either).  But maybe some other folks will show up.  Because you are all as bad as I am.  Some of you might even be worse.
