Neben „nur“ Caches suchen und finden gibt es auch Herausforderungen, Ziele (Challenges) die Abwechslung in das Geocaching Leben bringen sollen.
Ein Challenge Cache ist ein Cache, der an Bedingungen geknüpft ist. Erreichst du diese Bedingungen, inklusive das Auffinden der Box und das Signieren des Logbuches, dann darf man den Cache als Fund loggen. Wenn du mehr über die Richtlinien eines Challenge Caches wissen willst, kannst du dich hier informieren.
Es gibt unzählige Challenges, die nicht leicht zu schaffen sind und die viel Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.
Diesen Challenge Cache habe ich bewusst für „Beginners“ und für noch nicht so erfahrene Geocacher erstellt. Für langjährige Cacher ist diese Herausforderung vielleicht schon längst gemeistert.
Dieser Cache befindet sich an den Header-Koordinaten. Du kannst dich jederzeit ins Logbuch vor Ort eintragen und als „Write Note“ loggen. Wenn du die Bedingungen an einem anderen Zeitpunkt erfüllst, dann kannst du ein „Found it“ Log hinzufügen.
Die Logbedingung(en) für diesen Cache:
Finde und logge in jedem Monat des Jahres mindestens 4 verschiedene Cachetypen. Das heißt du brauchst ein Minimum an 48 Funden. Welche Cachetypen zählen, siehst du am besten bei meiner Erfüllung der Challenge (Bild unten), oder im Challenge Checker. Außerdem musst du nicht die Challenge innerhalb eines Jahres schaffen.
Von dir geloggte, aber in der Zwischenzeit bereits archivierte Caches zählen zur Challenge.

Zum Cache(versteck): Der Weg zum Versteck ist nicht eben, daher die erhöhte Geländewertung. An der Dose ist eine Bergehilfe angebracht. Es kann sein, dass man etwas Geschick benötigt, um die Dose rauszubekommen. Beim Zurücklegen die Bergehilfe wieder etwas herausstehen lassen.
