Autres patrimoines liés à l’eau sont les abreuvoirs réservés au bétail et aux chevaux. Ils sont alimentés par un simple conduit et taillés dans la pierre calcaire ou assemblés à l’aide de dalles de schiste. Les usagers d’autrefois s’organisaient pour ne pas s’y retrouver tous à la fois avec leur troupeau.
Sa longueur détermine le nombre de têtes de bétail à venir s’y abreuver en même temps. Le simple bac peut aussi se combiner à un bassin pour laver et rincer ou pour toute autre tâche domestique. Hommes et bêtes se côtoient.
Cet abreuvoir d’Aix-sur-Cloie servait essentiellement à abreuver le bétail et les chevaux des fermes voisines. Sa construction date fort probablement du début du XIXe siècle. L’eau de source captée, était amenée par des tuyaux et recueillie dans des bacs, appelés abreuvoirs.
Other water-related heritages are the drinking troughs for cattle and horses. They are feeded by a simple pipe and are carved in limestone or assembled with slabs of schist. In the past, users were organised to not be in the drinking trough at the same time with their herd.

This trough in Aix-sur-Cloie was used mainly to water the cattle and horses from the neighbouring farms. It was very probably built in the early 19th century. The spring water collected was carried along pipes to the tubs, called troughs.
