UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso) was born on April 16, 1913 as the Texas State School of Mines and Metallurgy. There was a huge need for mining research at that time, and the ASARCO industry had a close relationship with the University. Things have expanded and changed a lot since. The first commencement had only 27 students enrolled, now a total enrollement of 4,300 students across 166 degrees that goes from Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programs, UTEP is one of the most important education institutions in the region.
The Sunbowl stadium opened on September 21, 1963 and has a capacity of 51,500 people. This stadium has hosted concerts by U2 (1992), Pink Floyd (1994), NSYNC (2001), The Rolling Stones (2006), One Direction (2014) and Guns N' Roses (2017).
The cache is outside of the stadium and does not require any sort of entry. There is a big parking lot, so unless the parking is not closed you have access to the cache by car. This can be a very heavy muggle area (factored into the difficulty level of the cache), please use extreme stealth and do not take if at risk of muggles watching. BYOP and leave container exactly where found. Logs that are not signed will be erased.
