Partizanska bolnica Jelendol
Bolnica je začela delovati spomladi leta 1943, v Adjunktovi dolini, na kraju, kjer so veliko italijansko ofenzivo leta 1942 preživeli ranjenci iz prve partizanske roške bolnice na bližnjem Daleč hribu.
Skupno so zgradili 10 objektov, ki so ohranjeni še danes. To so bili baraka za ranjence, baraka za osebje, operacijska baraka, kuhinja z drvarnico, pralnica in skladišče, nadstrešek, dimnica, stranišče, krušna peč.
Za izolacijo so uporabljali papir, špranje so zadelali z mahom. Peči so izdelali iz odpadnih sodov, jih sezidali ali prenesli iz opuščenih kočevarskih vasi. Svetili so si z repo z lojem, s karbidovkami in svečami.Problem preskrbe z v odo so rešili z izkopano luknjo na dnu bližnje vrtače. Dim iz kuhinje je bil speljan po cevi do dimnice, kjer se je potem ohladil in se skozi line porazgubil v gozdu. Dostop v bolnico je bil dovoljen le po deblih dreves, ki so ležala v gozdu.
Bolnico je najdlje vodil dr.Pavel Lunaček-Igor. Ostali zdravniki so še bili Lojze Gunde-Rok, dr.Bogdan Brecelj, dr. Janez Milčinski-Peter, dr. Ruža Šegedin-Meta, dr.Pavle Kanc in dr.Božena Sernec. Osebje so sestavljali še politični komisar, intendant, bolničarji, nosači ranjencev, kuhar, brivec, perica, ter občasno mizar in krojač.
Do novembra 1943 je v bolnici delovala tudi Uprava Slovenske centralne vojne partizanske bolnice, nekaj mesecev pa tudi zobna ambulanta. Bolnica je delovala do konca vojne, v njej pa se je zdravilo skupaj 330 ranjencev. Umrlo jih je 21, ki so pokopani na bližnjem grobišču.
Bolnica Jelendol je bila razglašena za spomenik leta 1952 in je v celoti ohranjena še danes.

Partisan Hospital Jelendol
The hospital began operation in the spring of 1943, in Adjunkt's Valley, on the site where many wounded from the first partisan Roška hospital on nearby Daleč Hill survived the Italian offensive in 1942.
A total of 10 buildings were built, which are still preserved today. These were a barracks for the wounded, a barracks for staff, an operating barracks, a kitchen with a wood shed, a laundry and storage, a shelter, a chimney, a toilet, and a bread oven.
For insulation, they used paper, and filled the gaps with moss. They made stoves out of waste cans, either built them or brought them from abandoned Gottscheer villages. They lit their way with tallow candles, carbide lamps, and candles. They solved the problem of water supply by digging a hole at the bottom of a nearby sinkhole. The smoke from the kitchen was led through a pipe to the chimney, where it cooled and dispersed through the holes in the chimney into the forest. Access to the hospital was only allowed by way of thick trees that lay in the forest.
The hospital was led for the longest time by Dr.Pavel Lunaček-Igor. Other doctors included Lojze Gunde-Rok, Dr. Bogdan Brecelj, Dr. Janez Milčinski-Peter, Dr. Ruža Šegedin-Meta, Dr. Pavle Kanc and Dr. Božena Sernec. The staff also included a political commissioner, intendant, nurses, stretcher-bearers, a cook, a barber, a laundress, and occasionally a carpenter and tailor.
Until November 1943, the Uprava Slovenske centralne vojne partizanske bolnice (Administration of the Slovenian Central War Partisan Hospital) also operated in the hospital and for a few months, there was also a dental clinic. The hospital operated until the end of the war, treating a total of 330 wounded. 21 of them died and were buried in the nearby cemetery.
The Jelendol hospital was declared a monument in 1952 and is fully preserved to this day.
