A series that will not only introduce you to some of the dog parks around the mornington peninsula but we will also be sharing some fun facts and information about a different breed of dog for every cache in the series! Although they are numbered they don't have to be done in order. We have also got our resident experts, Ebony (Gnome5580s geodog!) And Calypso (Beckgizs geodog!) Who will be giving each dog park a score of 1 to 5 paws depending on how much they approve of this park! 🐶 we hope you enjoy this series as much as Ebony and Calypso had testing each of these parks out 😉 and on that note here is their opinion of this park:
SUMMERFIELD RESERVE:
Another hidden little fully fenced dog park in Mornington! This park has just about everything, there are toilets, water, bbqs and lots of tables and seating at the playground end of the park then it's just a short walk to the fenced off leash area or if you're up for a bit more exercise you can do the longer walk all around the wetlands just behind the dog park. This is definitely a nice little park to bring your doggos and the rest of the family too! The one small issue is that there is no water or seating actually IN the park so because of this Ebony and Calypso rate this park 4 out of 5 paws! The breed we have picked for this cache is the:
Pomeranian:
The Pomeranian is a breed of dog of the Spitz type that is named for the Pomerania region in north-west Poland and north-east Germany in Central Europe. Classed as a toy dog breed because of its small size, the Pomeranian is descended from larger Spitz-type dogs, specifically the German Spitz.
Life span: 12 – 16 years
Mass: 1.9 – 3.5 kg (Adult)
Height: 7 to 12 inches (18 to 30 cm)
Colors: White, Black, Blue, Red, Grey-shaded, Cream, Tan, Orange, Brown
Origin: Germany, Poland
The Pomeranian can make a great companion dog for the elderly or singles/couples, the don't require a lot of exercise and are quite happy to spend as much time as possible snuggling up to their owners.
The Cache:
You are looking for a 200ml plastic container. Please make sure that the container is kept covered up, it won't take much for it to be seen by passing muggles if not covered up correctly. But as always good luck and happy hunting! 🤠
