Geocache Description:

A series that will not only introduce you to some of the dog parks around the mornington peninsula but we will also be sharing some fun facts and information about a different breed of dog for every cache in the series! Although they are numbered they don't have to be done in order. We have also got our resident experts, Ebony (Gnome5580s geodog!) And Calypso (Beckgizs geodog!) Who will be giving each dog park a score of 1 to 5 paws depending on how much they approve of this park! 🐶 we hope you enjoy this series as much as Ebony and Calypso had testing each of these parks out 😉 and on that note here is their opinion of this park:

HARRAP ROAD RESERVE:

Yet another dog park in Mornington! Harrap Rd reserve is another small fenced dog park on Racecourse Rd. This is a very small park with a small fenced playground so you can bring the geokids for a play at the same time as your geodog! 😊 This park has got a bit of seating and a bin for rubbish but unfortunately that's about it for this park which makes it a little bit on the empty and small side compared to some of the many other dog parks in the area. So because of this Ebony and Calypso rate this park 3 out of 5 paws! The breed we have chosen for this cache is a bit more unusual a choice for a dog breed in Australia but can still make a great family pet!

Borzoi (Russian Wolfhound):

borzoi, breed of hound dog developed in Russia to pursue wolves. It is descended from the Arabian greyhound and a collielike Russian sheepdog. The borzoi—formerly known as the Russian wolfhound—is a graceful, strong, and swift dog. ... The dog is noted for its elegant appearance.

Life span: 7 – 10 years

Temperament: Quiet, Gentle, Respectful, Intelligent, Athletic, Independent

Colors: White, Black, Grey, Brindle, Blue, Fawn, Black & Tan, Silver, Cream, Sable

Origin: Russia, Belarus

This dog can be a great family pet if youre ok with a dog that's big enough to take over the whole bed or the entire couch! They're full of energy and definitely need owners that are the same! Unfortunately, like most giant breeds, they don't have a very long life-span but you will end up with a great dog that will most likely believe they're a lap dog for their entire lives! 😀

The Cache:

You are looking for a micro hidden in a familiar way. Please make sure you replace the cache where you found it and to make sure it's not visible to anyone! BYO pen, happy hunting! 🤠
