Luiz Goes – Balada Da Torre De Anto
Património municipal de Coimbra, a Torre de Anto acolhe nos dias de hoje o Núcleo da Guitarra e do Fado de Coimbra, oferecendo uma viagem sensorial digna do seu tempo e uma experiência única. A Torre de Anto, imortalizada pela passagem do poeta António Nobre, entre 1888 e 1890, está classificada como Monumento Nacional desde 1935.
A Torre de Anto integrou a muralha na proximidade da Judiaria Velha da cidade, entre as Torres da Contenda, integrada na Casa de Sobre Ripas, e de São Nicolau e Santa Madalena, destruídas pela construção do colégio de Santo Agostinho.
De origem medieval, integrava a antiga cerca de Coimbra. Em meados do século XV, foi cedida a Martim Domingues, o Prior do Ameal, responsável pela reforma que lhe terá introduzido alguns dos elementos arquitetónicos que ainda sobrevivem – a porta e janelas de arco apontado.
Nos finais do século XIX, então na posse da família Perestrelo, conhece nova reforma, associada ao movimento revivalista, que lhe introduz novos vãos de janela (neomanuelinos) e acrescenta um piso que incorpora as ameias que a coroavam. É provável que remonte a esta fase o alteamento do muro do adarve e a remoção das ameias.
Durante a época manuelina foi adaptada a residência e ali morou o poeta António Nobre, o que originou a designação pela qual é hoje conhecida. Manteve-se na posse de privados, com funções residenciais, até 1965, quando o Dr. João Couto a lega à cidade, passando, desde então, a integrar o património municipal. A última intervenção, concluída em 2014 ao abrigo da Rede de Castelos e Muralhas do Mondego, destinou-lhe funções museológicas.
Atualmente, acolhe o Núcleo da Guitarra e do Fado de Coimbra que pretende contribuir para o conhecimento e divulgação duma expressão artística que projetou a Cidade para o mundo. Cantores, instrumentistas, compositores e violeiros formatam um percurso expositivo que acompanha os momentos mais relevantes do Canto e da Guitarra de Coimbra ao longo de várias gerações. Ali podem ver-se alguns objetos do grande mestre Carlos Paredes, a letra de uma canção original de Zeca Afonso, uma guitarra de António Portugal e ainda a letra, manuscrita, da Trova do Vento que Passa, da autoria de Manuel Alegre.
O Núcleo da Guitarra e do Fado de Coimbra - Torre de Anto – integra o Museu Municipal de Coimbra e encontra-se aberto de terça-feira a domingo das 10h às 13h e das 14h às 18h. Encerra às Segundas-feiras e Feriados.

Entre ruas e ruelas carregadas de histórias seculares, esta Multi vai-vos levar a percorrer a zona histórica da cidade de Coimbra, sendo a mesma constituída por 2 pontos. No primeiro ponto apenas é necessário responder a uma pergunta de escolha múltipla e assim chegar à coordenada final.
Esta cache foi desenvolvida com imenso gosto e dedicação, e está relacionada com o local e a temática. Encontrem-na e aproveitem toda a envolvência e história que esta Torre de Anto tem para vos oferecer!. Aproveitem a visita para conhecer o local e tirar umas belas fotos, sempre ao som do tradicional Fado de Coimbra, que vagueia pelas ruas da cidade, da alta até à baixa! 😊

Levem caneta para registar a visita. Como conteúdo inicial, contém apenas Logbook e Stashnote, e permite a troca de brindes, TB’s, Geocoins, etc. Peço que deixem tudo tal e qual como encontraram ou ainda melhor e se acontecer alguma coisa com a cache, peço que nos informem. A durabilidade da cache depende de todos! Fotos da cache, do interior e do cantinho onde se encontra serão apagadas, de forma a manter a surpresa para futuros geocachers que a procurem. Algumas orientações e conselhos a terem na realização desta cache:
- Não forcem nada e tenham cuidado ao manuseá-la. Esta cache deu-nos muito gosto, bastante tempo e trabalho a construir, e requereu alguns gastos, por isso pedimos que tenham o máximo cuidado possível ao manusearem o container (externo e interno);
- Se pretenderem apenas procurar a cache, não vos será cobrado qualquer valor. Basta informar a receção que são Geocachers e a descoberta é realizada de forma gratuita. Se pretenderem visitar o resto do Núcleo/Torre a visita é paga;
- O registo online apenas será validado após terem encontrado o logbook e terem lá inscrito o log;

Description:
Coimbra's municipal heritage, Anto Tower currently hosts the Coimbra Guitar and Fado Section, offering a sensory journey worthy of its time and a unique experience. Anto Tower, immortalized by the passage of the poet António Nobre, between 1888 and 1890, has been classified as a National Monument since 1935.
Anto Tower was part of the wall near the city's Old Jewish Quarter, between the Contenda Tower, part of the Casa de Sobre Ripas, and São Nicolau and Santa Madalena Tower’s, destroyed by the construction of the College of Santo Agostinho.
Medieval in origin, it was part of the old fence of Coimbra. In the mid-15th century, it was ceded to Martim Domingues, the Prior of Ameal, responsible for the renovation that introduced some of the architectural elements that still survive – the door and pointed-arch windows.
At the end of the 19th century, then owned by the Perestrelo family, it undergoes a new renovation, associated with the revivalist movement, which introduces new window openings (neo-Manueline) and adds a floor that incorporates the battlements that crowned it. It is likely that the heightening of the battlement wall and the removal of the battlements date back to this phase.
During the Manueline period, the residence was adapted and the poet António Nobre lived there, which gave rise to the name by which it is known today. It remained in private ownership, with residential functions, until 1965, when Dr. João Couto bequeathed it to the city, since then becoming part of the municipal heritage. The last intervention, completed in 2014 under the Mondego Castles and Walls Network, assigned it museum functions.
Currently, it hosts the Coimbra Guitar and Fado Section that aims to contribute to the knowledge and dissemination of an artistic expression that projected the City to the world. Singers, instrumentalists, composers and guitar players format an exhibition route that follows the most relevant moments of Song and Guitar in Coimbra over several generations. There you can see some objects by the great master Carlos Paredes, the lyrics of an original song by Zeca Afonso, a guitar by António Portugal and even the handwritten lyrics of Trova do Vento que Passa, by Manuel Alegre.
