Hiked out today for the vista at the Vista Point in Sierra Vista. A nice hike to get here, and great views of downtown San Jose, the valley, and the Santa Cruz Mountains from GZ. Located near a terminus of the Bay Area Ridge Trail. There is a picnic table nearby that I used for a snack break.
Park at the Sierra Vista Staging Area on Sierra Road; there is no access to the Lower Calaveras Fault Trail from Alum Rock Park. Lots of up and down to get here and back; bring plenty of water
