Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area is a relatively new nature park that provides public access to Alamance County’s largest state-significant natural heritage area. Hikers will enjoy rolling piedmont hills, abundant creeks and streams, and some of the best views in the County. The natural area is home to the highest peak in North Carolina east of Greensboro at 987 feet. The park is currently a work in progress, with additional trails & ammenities planned, but at this time does contain two separate loops of 2.5 and 1.0 miles. Trailhead is accessed from the parking lot at the end of the gravel drive.
From your elevated vantage point you can get a nice view of the creek as it winds it's way through the woods. You're looking for a small to medium sized fairly well camo'd container.
