Le village de Cazaux-d'Anglès appartient au canton de Vic-Fezensac et à l'arrondissement d'Auch. Il fait également partie de la communauté de communes D'artagnan en Fezensac et du Pays d'Armagnac. Ce castelnau est implanté sur une terrasse qui domine de 160 m la rivière Guiroue. Il fait partie du Pays d’Angles et appartient à l’histoire de la famille de Montesquiou. Dans les temps anciens, l’enceinte fortifiée abritait l’église, le village et le château (en partie visible de nos jours) dans la partie Est qui domine la vallée. Le château de Cazaux (privé) date du 12e siècle ; il est l'oeuvre des Templiers ; il est antérieur à la fondation de l'église qui n'était alors qu'une simple chapelle. Ses murailles épaisses de 85 cm sont formées de grosses pierres rectangulaires plus grandes que celles qui ont servi à la construction de l'église. Il y avait autre fois deux tours jumelles dont l'une dominait le pont-levis. Un escalier en colimaçon mène à la tour.
The village of Cazaux-d'Anglès belongs to the canton of Vic-Fezensac and to the district of Auch. It is also part of the community of communes D'artagnan en Fezensac and the Pays d'Armagnac. This castelnau is located on a terrace which dominates the Guiroue river by 160 m. It is part of the Pays d'Angles and belongs to the history of the Montesquiou family. In ancient times, the fortified enclosure housed the church, the village and the castle (partly visible today) in the eastern part which dominates the valley. The castle of Cazaux (private) dates from the 12th century; it is the work of the Templars; it predates the founding of the church, which was then only a simple chapel. Its 85 cm thick walls are made of large rectangular stones larger than those used in the construction of the church. There were once two twin towers, one of which overlooked the drawbridge. A spiral staircase leads to the tower.
