Geocache Description:

Clark Island is one of a handful of islands that litter the magnificent Sydney Harbour. Its only small, but it packs a lot of beauty. The traditional land owners called it (Billong-olo-lah). The British called it Clark Island after Lieutenant Ralph Clark, who was an officer of the First Fleet. Lt Clark was given the opportunity to cultivate vegetables on the island, however he soon gave up after his vegetables kept getting stolen before he could pick them!

Nowadays the island is managed by the NPWS, it's a popular spot for picnics or weddings as there's breathtaking 360° views. The island has public toilets, freshwater and plenty of grassed areas close to the water, while higher on the island there is some additional grassed areas amongst the trees. The NPWS encourage visitors to pay a landing fee.

To claim a find for this virtual cache you'll need to find your own way to the island as there are no ferries that stop at the island. Once on the island you'll need to complete the geocache requirements listed below.

  1. Plaque - In the paragraph of text, on the 7th line, what is the 7th word?
  2. Rock shelter - What 3 letters are carved in the rock floor?
  3. Seat - What are the years mentioned?
  4. Selfie - Take a photo of yourself (or something showing your caching name) with the view in the background.

Please send your responses via the Geocaching Message center before logging your find (do not write the answers in your log). Finds that do NOT meet the criteria will be deleted without notice.
