A mural is a large piece of art that is painted on a walls, ceilings or floors. They can be inside or out and are normally large in scale with taking hours to complete. Business use them as a way to attract the public to them. Empty buildings sometimes have them painted windows as to liven up the area.
While many murals are there for enjoyment, an interactive mural is there to let you become part of the artwork in some way.
