The Hall

Lanhydrock War Memorial Hall was built in 1920. The property is beautiful inside and out with classic 1920 quirks with a plaque inside listing names of people from the village who lost their lives in the war. Two further rolls of honour list all the villagers who fought during the two world wars.
The heir to the local estate, Thomas Agar-Robartes MP, was killed in 1915 during the Battle of Loos in France, while trying to rescue a colleague from no-man's land. The present War Memorial Hall was built as a tribute to him and others from the parish who died.
The Hall is registered with Historic England as a Grade II listed building.
The hall itself has a kitchen, toilets and one large room which can be divided into three. With its large car park and excellent facilities, this is one of the centres of social life. Dances, the annual harvest supper, Christmas parties, dog training courses, a gardening show, the WI and many other events keep the hall fully booked
The Cache
This is a Virtual cache. As such there is no physical cache to find. Instead you need to visit the location and perform two tasks that prove you were there.
Task 1. On the 'W' gate at the car park entrance there is a small white sign in the top right corner consisting of four lines of text. Please message or email me with the first letter of each of the 7 words that follow SAFETY
Task 2. Please take a photo of yourself, your GPS or a legible sign with your caching name, in front of the Hall, and include it in your log.
Proof of completion of a task should be provided at the same time as logging the cache. Failure to provide such proof within a week of logging the cache will result in the deletion of your log.
