About this geocache

The Delaware River makes up the entire border between New Jersey and Pennsylvania, so geocaching in both states at once is close to impossible, unless you're on a boat or a bridge or a rare land mass where this border exists.

In early 2020, I was visiting Cincinnati and had the opportunity to stand on the Ohio / Kentucky border, two states also separated by a river, by visiting GC7B8GE - Caching In Two States At Once. I really enjoyed that cache and wanted to bring the idea to my home state.

When I was awarded my Virtual Reward 3.0 cache, I wanted to do something fun with it, so I've created this "caching in two states at once" cache between New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The cache is located on the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge, which connects New Hope, PA, and Lambertville, NJ.

I hope you enjoy this cache!

At the given coordinates, you will find a painted border between New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Logging requirements

  • You must physically visit the given coordinates on the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge, where you will find the painted border between New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
  • You must take a photo of yourself or your team (or if you're shy, your GPS device) at the given coordinates, which must include the painted state border.  Be creative and have fun with it!
  • Logging a find without posting the required photo in the log within 24 hours will result in a deleted log.

Fun fact: There is a cache with a similar theme upriver from this one, GC9P4W8 - Portland-Columbia Pedestrian Bridge - VR 3.0. Great minds think alike, so if you enjoy this cache, check that out as well.
