Geocache Description:

For rugged beauty and photographic appeal, Saulaglula (Inalahan) Pool has a most intriguing geology. This natural bathing spot can be found in a public park on the main road that circumnavigates the island. Coral outcroppings resembling the lava flows of volcanic islands loom at 15 to 20 feet above the horizon, blocking the view of the reef beyond. On days with heavy seas this natural protection shields this beauty spot from wave action, allowing only ripples into the shallow pools resting in the shadows of the black rocks.  Tropical fish and other creatures can be observed in their natural habitat. The calm water is a perfect place for the very young snorkeler to test out fins and goggles and other swimmers to enjoy the water and other amenities provided in the park.

Saulaglula Pool, better known as Inalahan Natural Pool, is a natural, irregular shaped pool formed by coral reefs surrounded by seawater.  The seawater is isolated from the outside and becomes a natural seawater swimming pool.  Originally natural pools, a concrete wall was built to enclose it making it easier for people to go swimming in it.

During a typhoon, a staircase was destroyed, and a concrete pavilion collapsed into the pool.  It is in pieces in the middle of the pool; thus, the pool is not as deep as it was originally.
