Welcome to Western Michigan University!!! This is a great spot to take in the City of Kalamazoo Sky Line. Kalamazoo is situated at the bottom of the Kalamazoo Valley. This is a great spot to take in the colors in the fall too. I have visited this spot countless times over 30 years. We have even come here for family photos.
This is where Western Michigan University got its start. WMU started with a few buildings here on this hill. Over time it expanded to where main campus is now. This area became known as East Campus and for a while was a very quiet spot, except for game days. Now they have raised a couple of buildings and refurbised the one behind you and turned it into the Alumni Building. Take a minute and check out this typically quiet spot of campus with an exceptional view. Parking on game day is $10.00 so you might want to skip this spot unless your here for a game alread. The parking cords are at the visitor parking meters. Be warned that Parking Enforcement is strong on campus. A little change beats a pricy ticket! Enjoy the great view from here.
