VAD ÄR SAGOBYGDEN?
Sagobygden är ett magiskt landskap som gömmer otaliga spännande och roliga berättelser. Förr gick berättelserna från mun till mun och än i dag berättar vi dem i Sagobygden. Det var här i sydvästra Småland, som mycket av den svenska muntliga traditionen skrevs ner. Här levde märkliga sagoberättare, betydelsefulla sagosamlare och här finns otaliga sägenomspunna platser.
UPPTAGEN PÅ UNESCO REGISTER
Sagobygden upptaget på Unescos Register
2018 upptogs Sagobygden på Unescos register över goda metodiska exempel, det sk Register of Good Safeguarding Practices. Sagobygden var då den 20:e platsen i världen att komma med på detta mycket fina register och det första som Sverige nominerat till denna konvention.
ETT UTFLYKTSMÅL
Sagobygden är ett utflyktsmål för alla som tycker om spännande och roliga berättelser. En resa i Sagobygden är en färd i ett landskap där det överallt finns oknytt och lortaryg. Det är också en färd till natursköna platser, glömda sevärdheter och ett sätt att lära känna människors liv och leverne förr i tiden. Smaka på källans kalla vatten! Kryp in i Trollbergets gångar! Njut av utsikten från Blodberget! Försök ta dig upp på Karins sten!
Här finns idag 60 sägenomspunna besöksplatser. Av dessa finns det 43 sägenskåp. Du finner dem i landskapet på den plats där händelsen sägs ha ägt rum. Skåpen innehåller berättelsen skriven på svenska, engelska och tyska, en illustration. Då är det svårt att välja ut en punkt för denna virtuella cache som vi ha fått förmånen att publicera. Så ni kommer få göra en egen resa i detta fina landskap för att kunna logga denna virtuella cache.
Vad gör jag för att få logga geocachen?
För att få logga denna cache ska du samla ihop minst 10 000 poäng genom att besöka olika platser här i Sagobygden. På varje plats ska du ta ett foto med ditt geocachingnamn synligt i bilden. Det finns 43 olika WAY Points att välja mellan med olika poängvärde utöver detta behöver du ta ett kort med ditt geocachingnamn vid Sagomuseumet. Du kan själv välja något föremål som är signifikant för platsen som tex nocken på huset, porten in mm.
Både Platsen och ert GEOCACHINGNAMN måste vara tydligt urskiljbara i bilderna. Koordinaterna för valda waypoints måste besökas, m a o godkänns inte foton tagna på avstånd, inte heller bilder från tidigare besök eller bilder redigerade i något program. Ni behöver själva inte vara med på bild och ni väljer själva vilka av de 43 platserna ni vill besöka för att få ihop 10 000 poäng. Platserna behöver inte besökas på en och samma dag.
Var och en som loggar måste bifoga:
• Foton på besökta poängplatser (Öppet skåp som visar platsen eller attraktionen) med ditt
GEOCACHINGNAMN
med i varje bild (ej photoshop), som är:
• Tagna på rätt plats (från koordinaterna för vald plats) och på ett sätt som tydligt visar platsen,
samt:
• Med ett sammanlagt poängvärde av 10 000 eller mer.
• Kort vid Sagomuseumet med signifikant bakgrund för platsen med ditt geocaching namn synligt på kortet.
Ni skriver i er logg vilka waypoints ni besökt och hur många poäng ni fått ihop.

Exempel:
Ni besöker och tar en bild enligt tidigare nämnda krav vid Skomakaren i Sutarestugan och en annan bild vid Drakskatten i Sannaböke. Sutarestugan är värd 1000 poäng och Drakskatten i Sannaböke är värd 450 poäng, så totalpoängen är 1450. Detta betyder att ni behöver ytterligare 8550 poäng och fler platser behöver besökas innan ni uppfyller kravet på 10 000 poäng och kan logga. Utöver detta behöver ni ta ett kort vid Sagomuseumet för att få en godkänd logg.

WHAT IS LAND OF LEGENDS?
Land of Legends is a magical landscape that hides countless exciting and funny stories. In the past, stories passed from mouth to mouth and today we still tell them in Land of Legends. It was here, in south-western Småland, that much of the Swedish oral tradition was written down. Here lived remarkable storytellers, important story collectors and here are countless places steeped in legend.

In 2018, Sagobygden was included in UNESCO's Register of Good Safeguarding Practices. Land of Legends was then the 20th place in the world to be included in this very fine register and the first that Sweden nominated to this convention.
A DESTINATION WITH A TREASURE HUNT
Land of Legends is an excursion destination for anyone who enjoys exciting and fun stories. A trip to Land of Legends is a journey through a landscape where there is a lot of untold stories and lore. It is also a journey to scenic places, forgotten sights and a way of getting to know the lives and ways of people in the past. Taste the cold water of the spring! Crawl into the passageways of Trollberg! Enjoy the view from Blood Mountain! Try to climb up Karin's stone!
Today there are 60 legendary places to visit. Of these, there are 43 legend boxes. You will find them in the landscape at the place where the event is said to have taken place. The cabinets contain the story written in English, Swedish and German, an illustration. Then it is difficult to pick out a point for this virtual cache that we have had the privilege of publishing. So you will have to make your own journey in this beautiful landscape to log this virtual cache.
What is required to log the geocache?
To log this cache, you will need to accumulate at least 10,000 points by visiting various locations here in Land of Legends. At each location, you should take a photo with your geocaching name visible in the picture. There are 43 different WAY Points to choose from with different point values in addition to this you need to take a card with your geocaching name at the cache location. You can choose any object that is significant for the location, such as the nook of the house, the gate etc.
Both the Location and your GEOCACHINGNAME must be clearly discernible in the photos. The coordinates of the selected waypoints must be visited, so photos taken from a distance, photos from previous visits or photos edited in any program will not be accepted. You do not have to be in the picture yourself and you choose which of the 43 places you want to visit to score 10,000 points. The sites do not have to be visited on the same day.
Everyone who logs in must attach:
- Photos of the scoring sites visited (Open Cabinet that shows the site or attraktion) with your
GEOCACHING NAME
included in each photo (not photoshop), which are:
- Taken at the correct location (from the coordinates of the selected location) and in a way that clearly shows the location,
and:
- With a total point value of 10 000 or more.
- Picture at the Sagomuseumet with significant background for the location with your geocaching name visible on the picture.

You write in your log which waypoints you visited and how many points you scored.
Do NOT send the pictures to my e-mail or message center - attach them to the log!
Example:
You visit and take a picture according to the aforementioned requirements at Skomakaren in Sutarestugan and another picture at Drakskatten in Sannaböke. Sutarestugan is worth 1000 points and the Dragon's Treasure in Sannaböke is worth 450 points, so the total score is 1450. This means that you need another 8550 points and more sites need to be visited before you meet the 10,000 point requirement and can log in. Examples of what a log picture might look like can be found in the gallery. You also have to take a picture at the Sagomuseum whit your nickname in that picture.
