Ville de Bruxelles
La ville de Bruxelles est une commune composée de 4 sections : le pentagone, Laeken, Neder-Over-Hembeek et Haren ainsi que de deux extensions : l'extension Sud, composée de l'avenue Louise et d'une grande partie de La Cambre qui a été prise sur Ixelles, et l'extension Est, qui a été prise sur Saint-Josse et Etterbeek.
Le but de cette virtuelle c'est de vous faire découvrir toutes ces parties en vous faisant découvir un monument dans chacune de ces 6 parties. Et en bonus, un petit détour par la quartier du Mutsaard, un quartier se trouvant entre Laeken et Neder-Over-Heembeek où j'ai passé mon enfance ! Ce ne sont pas toujours les monuments les plus connus car le but est de vous faire découvrir un peu. Donc pas de Manneken-Pis pour le pentagone ou d'Atomium pour Laeken ;) ! Dans la plupart des waypoints, vous trouverez des caches, donc cette virtuelle est l'idéal si vous avez envie de découvrir Bruxelles en faisant du géocaching et le but n'est pas nécessairement de la faire en une journée.
Pour chacun des waypoints il vous sera demandé de prendre une photo et de chercher une information sur place. Les coordonnées sont celle du monument, vous devrez parfois chercher un peu où se trouve exactement l'information. Celle-ci sera soit un nombre qu'il faudra réduire à un chiffre soit un mot que vous devrez transformer via la word value réduite à un chiffre.
Vous pourrez vérifiez vos réponses en envoyant un mail à brusselsABCDEFG@gmail.com. (PS: pour éviter d'être détecté comme spam il vaut mieux que le mail contienne au moins une phrase et un sujet). Si vous avez envoyé un mail et que vous recevez une réponse, vous ne devez pas envoyer les réponses aux questions par MP. Mais si vous ne recevez pas de réponse (ou vous ne voulez pas envoyer d'email), n'hésitez pas à envoyer vos réponses par MP, je vous confirmerai alors si les réponses sont correctes ou non.
Pour les photos, vous devrez soit vous prendre vous (montrer son visage est optionnel), soit votre GPS, votre GSM ou bien un papier avec votre pseudo. Vous aurez des exemples avec les photos que nous avons prises en faisant nous-mêmes le tour, mais vous pouvez utiliser la même méthode pour toute les photos, j'ai varié d'un WP à l'autre juste pour montrer des exemples. A priori, le but est d'envoyer les photos avec le log mais si vous ne voulez vraiment pas les envoyer via ce moyen là vous pouvez les envoyer via le mail pour vérifier vos réponse.
Un log sans photo ni réponse aux questions (par mail ou par MP) sera bien sûr supprimé.
Stad Brussel
De stad Brussel is een gemeente bestaande uit 4 afdelingen: de Vijfhoek, Laken, Neder-Over-Hembeek en Haren, alsmede twee uitbreidingen: de zuidelijke uitbreiding, bestaande uit de Louizalaan en een groot deel van Ter Kameren, die werd onttrokken aan Elsene, en de oostelijke uitbreiding die werd onttrokken aan Sint-Joost en Etterbeek.
Het doel van deze virtuele tour is om u al deze delen te laten ontdekken door u een monument te tonen in elk van deze 6 delen. En als bonus een kleine uitstap naar de wijk Mutsaard, een wijk tussen Laken en Neder-Over-Heembeek waar ik mijn jeugd heb doorgebracht! Het zijn niet altijd de beroemdste monumenten, want het doel is om je een beetje te laten ontdekken, dus geen Manneken-Pis voor het pentagon of Atomium voor Laken ;) ! In de meeste waypoints vind je caches, dus deze virtuele is ideaal als je Brussel wilt ontdekken door te geocachen en het doel is niet noodzakelijk om het in één dag te doen.
Voor elk van de waypoints wordt u gevraagd een foto te maken en ter plaatse informatie te zoeken. De coördinaten zijn die van het monument, u zult soms even moeten zoeken waar de informatie precies staat. Deze informatie kan een getal zijn dat u moet herleiden tot een cijfer of een woord. Je moet de woorden omzetten via de woordwaarde herleid tot een getal.
U kunt uw antwoorden controleren door een e-mail te sturen naar brusselsABCDEFG@gmail.com. (PS: om niet als spam te worden opgespoord is het beter als de mail ten minste een zin en een onderwerp bevat). Als u een e-mail hebt gestuurd en u krijgt een antwoord, hoeft u de antwoorden op de vragen niet mee per PM te sturen. Maar als je geen antwoord krijgt (of je wilt geen e-mail sturen) aarzel dan niet om je antwoorden per PM te sturen, ik zal dan bevestigen of de antwoorden juist zijn of niet.
Voor de foto's moet je jezelf (Het tonen van het gezicht is optioneel), je GPS, je gsm of een papier met je bijnaam meenemen. U zult voorbeelden hebben met de foto's die we namen toen we de tour zelf deed, maar je kunt dezelfde methode gebruiken voor alle foto's, ik heb gevarieerd van WP tot WP alleen maar om voorbeelden te laten zien. Het is de bedoeling dat u de foto's met het log meestuurt, maar als u dat echt niet wilt, kunt u ze ook per e-mail sturen om uw antwoorden te controleren.
Een log zonder foto's of antwoorden op vragen wordt uiteraard gewist.
City of Brussels
The city of Brussels is a municipality composed of 4 sections: the pentagon, Laeken, Neder-Over-Hembeek and Haren as well as two extensions: the southern extension, composed of Avenue Louise and a large part of La Cambre which was taken from Ixelles, and the eastern extension which was taken from Saint-Josse and Etterbeek.
The goal of this virtual tour is to make you discover all these parts by making you discover a monument in each of these 6 parts. And as a bonus, a small detour by the Mutsaard district, a district located between Laeken and Neder-Over-Heembeek where I spent my childhood! 1 Extension Est / Oostelijke uitbreiding / East Extension
L'extenstion Est est composée du quartier des squares, du quartier européen et du Cinquantenaire. C'est la première étape de notre périple.
Je vous propose d'aller à l'arcade du Cinquantenaire et d'aller vous photographier avec la statue de votre province (ou de votre province préféré, si vous n'êtes pas belge ou si vous préférez ne pas afficher votre province ! ). Les deux Brabants et Bruxelles sont représentés par la grande statue au sommet de l'arcade. N'hésitez pas à expliquer votre choix dans votre log. Pour moi, vous trouverez la province où je suis né et où je vis, la province d'origine de deux de mes grands-parents et la province où j'ai passé un grand nombre de mes vacances étant enfant.

De oostelijke uitbreiding bestaat uit de pleinen, de Europese wijk en het Jubelpark. Dit is de eerste etappe van onze reis.

The eastern extension is composed of the squares district, the European district and the Cinquantenaire. This is the first step of our journey.
I suggest you go to the arcade of the Cinquantenaire and take a picture of yourself with the statue of your province (or your favorite province, if you are not Belgian or if you prefer not to display your province! ) The two Brabants and Brussels are represented by the large statue at the top of the archway. 2 Le Pentagone/Vijfhoek/Pentagon
La deuxième étape se déroule dans le pentagone, le centre historique de Bruxelles. J'ai choisi la place Poelart où se trouve le plus grand palais de justice du monde, qui ést également connu pour sa magnifique vue, son ascensseur, et que bb_lynx connait bien pour avoir été à l'école pas très loin.

4 Laeken/Laken
Laeken est connu pour son plateau du Heysel où se trouve l'Atomium et pour son château, résidence du roi. On y trouve aussi le cimetière de Laeken, le père Lachaise belge, qui s'est construit près de l'église de Laeken où se trouve la crypte royale. Je vous propose d'aller y prendre en photo l'une des 20 épreuves originales du penseur de Rodin (sur ma photo, avec le choeur de l'ancienne église de Laeken en fond).

Laeken is known for its Heysel plateau where the Atomium is located and for its castle, residence of the king. There is also the cemetery of Laeken, the Belgian Père Lachaise, which was built near the church of Laeken where the royal crypt is located. I suggest you go there to take a picture of one of the 20 original prints of Rodin's Thinker (on my picture, with the choir of the old church of Laeken in the background)

5 Mutsaard/Mutsaert
Le Mutsaard (aussi orthographié Mutsaert), aussi appelé quartier des pagodes ou quartier De Wand, est la partie de Laeken de l'autre coté du parc de Laeken entre celui-ci et Neder-Over-Heembeek. Ce n'est donc pas vraiement une section de Bruxelles (puisqu'elle fait partie de Laeken), mais comme c'est le quartier de mon enfance, je ne pouvais pas ne pas y faire une étape. Ses monuments les plus célèbres sont le pavillon chinois et la tour japonaise. Je vous propose d'aller voir le pavillon chinois et de chercher sur les frises pour trouver le roi Léopold II et de faire une photo de vous avec ce roi pour prouver que vous l'avez trouvé.
Attention : le parc du pavillon chinois n'est ouvert que de 8h15 à 17h45 (en été de 8h15 à 20h45).
The Mutsaard (also spelled Mutsaert), also known as the Pagoda district or the De Wand district, is the part of Laeken on the other side of the Royal Park between there and Neder-Over-Heembeek. It's not really a section of Brussels (since it is part of Laeken), but as it's the district of my childhood I had to do a stop there. Its most famous monuments are the Chinese pavilion and the Japanese tower. I suggest you to go to the Chinese pavilion and to look on the friezes to find the king Leopold II and to make a picture of you with this king to prove that you found him.
Please note: the Chinese Pavilion Park is only open from 8:15 am to 5:45 pm (in summer from 8:15 am to 8:45 pm).

6 Neder-Over-Heembeek
Neder-Over-Heembeek est la section le plus au nord de la ville de Bruxelles. Elle est issue de la fusion en 1813 des deux communes Neder-Heembeek et Over-Heembeek. Je vous propose d'aller à la découverte du centre historique de Neder-Heembeek avec les ruines de son église, du Kluis, son ancien Hospice ainsi que l'entrée du parc Meudon, le parc de son ancien château aujourd'hui détruit. Faites une photo avec l'un des trois monuments. N'hésitez pas à faire la cache GC9PGET qui vous fera découvrir ces trois bâtiments et que j'ai posée en même temps que cette virtuelle.
Neder-Over-Heembeek is het noordelijkste deel van de stad Brussel. Het is ontstaan uit de fusie in 1813 van twee gemeenten, Neder-Heembeek en Over-Heembeek. Neder-Over-Heembeek is the northernmost section of the city of Brussels. It is the result of the merger in 1813 of two municipalities Neder-Heembeek and Over-Heembeek. Nous terminons par Haren, surement l'étape plus éloignée du centre ville. Ce petit village entre les différentes lignes de trains est entouré de gares.
