Geocache Description:

Russ Fitzpatrick Joined Geocaching on January 28 of 2003 and since we have known him, He was geocaching in Casa Grande. Russ loved to hike in the mountains and trails in Arizona. He also was the creator of very difficult puzzle caches (Unknown caches) some had so few finders and he was reluctant to give hints. We chose this container as many of his caches were in these, infact we got this one from him. RETIKON adopted Bucky & McGee's (Dirty Deal) in this location. We thought that the original cache name in this location would be appropriate here. Sadly, Rus passed away on December 28, 2021. We and Casa Grande will miss him greatly.

WHO WAS BUCKY & MCGEE ? Below is the quote from his own cache page:

(Billy, Jack, and Russ made up the original team called Bucky & McGee, and met as retired winter residents in Casa Grande, AZ. Billy has since moved to Texas, and now Jack has moved to Idaho. John from Wisconsin joined us for a while, but for quite some time now it has just been me, Russ, carrying on as Bucky & McGee. Who's Bucky and who's McGee? Bucky is Billy's dog (a rat terrier), and when he was here, he would hang tough with us. Sometimes those paws came home pretty sore from all the desert "stuff". McGee is Russ' dog (a schnoodle), but only here in spirit. Geocaching is a great passtime for old coggers, especially those like me who travel extensively. You will find Bucky & McGee just about anyplace in the USA, especially in summer. In my book, there is only one important ingredient to focus on in Geocaching........HAVING FUN!)

DO NOT PARK ON THE HIGHWAY, you can access the appropriate parking near the cache by turning off the highway at Cox road intersection and drive the two rut road south of the guard rail. Observe the usual Arizona precautions, Thorns, Snakes and the lack of drinking water.
