It's finally happening!! My first event!! After a few years of thinking, overthinking, planning, and changing my mind, I finally just got my act together and went for it. As a wise geocacher once told me, "if you plan it, they will come." So here it is!
I've met a number of cachers over the past few years, who I'm thrilled to see again, and there are a few holdouts that I have yet to cross paths with that I'm hoping can make it. No pressure!
The event will be at Mast Landing in Westbrook on Main St. There is no entrance on William B. Clarke Dr so don't do what I did the first time and try to get in the back way and end up circling around Westbrook. The kitchen is closed on Sundays so they will only be serving beer (I know, bummer), but it is not required to purchase anything to attend. There is ample parking in the lot and on the street and there is lots of space inside and outside to hang out.
I have it scheduled from noon - 2:00pm, but depending on turn out and how much I babble to everyone that shows up it's possible I will be there longer. And unfortunately, George, Baxter, and Conway will be sleeping so they will not be able to make it, but I hope you'll still come.
Please RSVP ASAP so I have an idea of how many people will be coming.
