Geocache Description:

Welcome to McWilliams Park, home of the Elbert County Parks and Recreation Department and Elbert County Little League.

This cache designed and hidden for GGPS-03 (Georgia Geocaching Puzzling Society) with things learned from GGPS-01 & GGPS-02. This works well for our family geocaching team since my wife loves solving puzzles and I enjoy creating and hiding.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Find and solve the clues to locate the true coordinates.

The Story:

Ben Gates was so excited about the upcoming 20 year anniversary of his greatest find that he decided to throw a party and invite everyone he knew. Parties this large will take a lot of time to plan, so best to start planning now and working on the guest list.  There were some names he knew immediately that must be included: Abigail Chase, Riley Poole, and his dad were obviously going to make the list, but some names may have people wondering: Betty White, Estelle Getty, Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, Andrew Gold, but let the unknowing puzzle that out on their own.

As he walked into his study to prepare the invitations he saw a package on his desk that wasn’t there this morning. As he opened it up he saw it was a big golden Key and the card attached said:

            Dear Ben,

I hope this finds you well, when I saw the numbers inscribed

on this key I couldn’t help, but feel as if this is the key we’ve

been looking for. Hopefully you know the what we need next.

                                                                        Thanks for being

                                                                        AYour Friend,

                            Major Nicholas Dietrich

As Ben began to look at the key and transcribe the numbers he thought he did know what they needed.

Permission to place cache in McWilliams park given by Tim Gaines Director of Parks and Recreation Department.

Note of thanks to Toolrep1, a cacher from Chicago, for first to solve, but no chance for FTF, who found this cache within an hour of it being posted. Since he is unable to log the find, but did help us iron out some kinks, and was patient and helpful on our first true puzzle cache, we wanted to give a special thanks.
