YES Outlet #4 (Bellanca Dr) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mattmcl84: This cache is located in an area that was close to my previous job, but I am never in that area anymore. I am unable to maintain it considering how many “Needs Maintenance” logs it has consistently accrued. I hope all finders enjoyed it.

Geocache Description:

Something that drives me crazy are "No Outlet" signs that are either located on streets that DO have an outlet or located in places that are OBVIOUSLY not routes to other locations. I picture an unfriendly neighbor or neighborhood association requesting a sign just to keep anyone else out. I figure I should place a cache by them to make sure that some friendly visitors will head to that location.

This No Outlet sign is a lie. Bellanca Drive connects to Gardenview Drive and then to Marshalee Drive. In my runs through the neighborhood I saw quite a few cars using it as a shortcut between Montgomery Road and Marshalee Drive. I don't know the history of this neighborhood well-enough to know if Bellanca was actually a No Outlet street at one time - it seems possible because the houses seem to be older than those on Gardenview - but the No Outlet sign is definitely wrong, now.

Thanks to geocacher jacobsonfam6 for the tip on this sign. I'm willing to put caches in my YES Outlet and Obviously No Outlet series anywhere appropriate in Howard County. Additional tips are welcomed by direct message!
