As Geocachers, we are always looking for a new trail in our famous Alberta mountains and foothills. However, in these beautiful places, there is a good chance of encountering some of the local wildlife such as grizzly bears, black bears and cougars.

The Mountain View BearSmart Society will be making a short presentation on types of bear encounters and how we should react in the different situations.

After the presentation, the Mountain View BearSmart Society will have a bear spray training session with a bear on a track at the following coordinates...N51 09.835 W114 28.290 (to be confirmed).

Cochrane Toyota has graciously allowed us to use their upstairs lounge for this event/seminar, and the Mountain View BearSmart Society is donating their time.
