Kukui'ula harbor is a historic gem on the southside of Kauai. It's a great place to fish, swim, picnic, paddle, and watch the boats come and go. In the early 1900's it was an important harbor for the sampan vessels of the local fishing industry. "Kukui'ula" means 'kukui fire' or light in Hawaiian, as the oil from the indigenous kukui nut was used to provide light for the fishing vessels to find their way back at night to the harbor.
You can find this geocache during the day, but it might be more fun at night... imagine yourself as a fisherman returning to port. Easy park and grab- bring your own pen. Hana pa'a!
