This is a cache in a series which provides a circular walk to/from Ickwell Green using council-registered permissive paths as well as a public bridleway and road/tracks. There is a small amount of road walking but on a very straight section. The circuit overlaps for a short stretch with another of our series: The Three Greens Walk.
This particular cache is on Ickwell Green where May Day celebrations take place on the bank holiday at the beginning of May each year (except 2020 and 2021), involving maypole dancing, crowning of the May Queen and a fair. There are also football and cricket pitches, a play area and war memorial.
