Geocache Description:

LT: 1828 m.

Šiuo metu lankytojų laukia sutvarkytas Alantos dvaras: I aukšto septyniose salėse 2015 m. atidaryta Vaidoto Žuko meno galerija, dar trijose salėse rengiamos kilnojamos parodos, o II dvaro aukšte 2019 m. vasario 16 d. įkurtas iš Alantos krašto kilusio palaimintojo Teofiliaus Matulionio muziejus.

EN: 1828 Alanta was bought by the nobleman Pac-Pomarnacki, whose family built the manor of Alanta of masonry and stone in the 19th century. Here the hosts had amassed a valuable collection of art: paintings, furniture and oriental porcelain. In the interwar period of the 20th century, the manor was bought by the Lithuanian minister of National Defense Balys Sližys. During the Soviet era, there was a collective farm office, a cinema and gym, a school and a library. In the new times of freedom, the manor spaces were adapted for public education.

Alanta manor is currently waiting for visitors: in the seven halls of the first floor the Vaidotas Žukas Art Gallery was opened in 2015, and in three more halls mobile exhibitions are held. The Museum of Blessed Theophilus Matulionis, who is from the Alanta region, was established in 2019 february 16.
