The town of Mojave began in 1876 as a construction camp on the Southern Pacific Railroad. From 1884 to 1889, the town was the western terminus of the 165-mile (266 km), twenty-mule team at Harmony Borax Works in Death Valley. please remember when you pull off ,park safely and watch out for vehicles. There is plenty of room to pull off away from the road safe! small grab and go container with a log & pencil and room for small 'swag' goodies. please try to keep it hidden and put it back the way you found it
